How do I request a ride?
You may request to schedule a ride by calling the CVTC Transportation Coordinator at 603-821-0569 a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the ride.
What kinds of rides can I ask for?
CVTC posts ride requests for non-emergency medical or social service appointments, grocery shopping, and visits to the pharmacy and bank.
When will I know if my ride request has been selected by a Volunteer Driver?
Once your request has been selected by a driver, they will call the day they assign themselves to your request and again the day before the ride is scheduled to take place.
If there are no volunteers available, CVTC will contact riders two (2) business days before the requested ride date.
Are there limits on the number of rides?
Riders are limited to two (2) rides a week. Within each ride, the rider may ask for 2-3 trips (doctor’s appointment, grocery shopping, or stopping by the post office or bank).
Is there a mileage limit to destinations?
CVTC travels within roughly a two-hour radius of the region. Most specialty doctors are based in Concord, Manchester, Portsmouth, West Lebanon/White River Junction, Springfield, MA, Boston metro, MA.
How much does it cost to get a ride?
CVTC does not charge and donations are always welcome.
What do I do if I no longer need the ride or need to cancel for any reason?
Always call the CVTC office to let them know of any changes to the ride, and staff will contact the driver.
I use a wheel chair; can you help me?
Yes, CVTC can assist in providing “no fee” wheel chair van transportation to medical appointments utilizing a service chair-van provider.
